Ramallah, February 18, 2026 – The Socialist International affirmed that Israel’s decision to expand its control over lands in the occupied West Bank and designate them as “state land” further fragments Palestinian territory and seriously undermines all efforts to promote peaceful coexistence. In a statement, the organization stressed that the continued alteration of the situation on the ground to favor the most extreme plans for the region and the unpunished illegal actions of settlers are unacceptable, emphasizing that peace and security in the region cannot be achieved without the Palestinians.
